SYSTEMIC RELIEF

Support for
two heartbeats.

Pregnancy shifts your center of gravity and increases your blood volume by 50%. Our protocol is designed to help your body adapt to these changes safely and comfortably.

Structural Alignment

As your belly grows, your lower back takes the strain. We use side-lying techniques to release the lumbar and pelvic tension that causes sciatic pain.

Reduced Swelling

Edema (swollen ankles and hands) is common. Our gentle strokes stimulate the lymphatic system to move excess fluid and reduce "heaviness" in the limbs.

Cortisol Flush

Massage lowers stress hormones and boosts serotonin. A calm mother means a calm environment for the baby's development.

Restorative Sleep

By quieting the nervous system and easing physical discomfort, we help mothers find deep, uninterrupted rest—essential for the final trimester.

THE CLINICAL JOURNEY

Your session
step-by-step.

The Clinical Intake

We discuss your current trimester, any complications, and your primary areas of pain (hips, lower back, or feet) to ensure a 100% safe treatment plan.

POST-SESSION CARE

The Nurture
Afterglow.

Your body is doing the incredible work of growing a life. After your session, your system needs time to integrate the relief and recalibrate.

Instant Lightness

You will notice an immediate decrease in the "heaviness" of your lower back and hips. Walking and standing will feel significantly more supported.

Vital Hydration

Water intake is critical today. It supports your amniotic fluid levels and helps flush the metabolic waste released during your massage.

The "Nurture" Nap

It is normal to feel very sleepy afterward. Your body is moving into a deep restorative state—listen to it and rest if you can.

Evolving Support

As your baby grows, your tension points will shift. We recommend scheduling every 2–3 weeks to stay ahead of new structural pains.

NATHALIE'S NOTE: If you feel any unusual pregnancy symptoms (like intense cramping or dizziness) after a session, always contact your OBGYN first. Your safety is our primary metric of success.

THE CATHARTIC DIFFERENCE

Clinical care for
mother & child.

At Cathartic, we don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" pregnancy routines. Nathalie Koffler is specifically certified in prenatal and postpartum bodywork, ensuring that every stroke is anatomically safe and every bolster is positioned for maximum structural support.

& Postpartum Specialist

Advanced Certification

Nathalie understands the contraindications of pregnancy. We know exactly which areas to avoid and which pressure points to target to safely induce relaxation without risk.

Side-Lying Positioning

We do not use "belly-hole" tables, which can strain the uterine ligaments. We utilize clinical side-lying protocols with orthopedic bolsters to protect your spine and your baby.

The Private Suite

Avoid the noise and crowds of large Miami spas. Our Bay Harbor suite is a quiet, private sanctuary designed for the sensory needs of an expecting mother.

POSTPARTUM CARE

THE METHODOLOGY

Anatomical
Support.

The Nurture Protocol is a specialized bodywork system centered on the safety of the mother and the development of the child. We move beyond basic relaxation to address the structural shifts of the lumbar spine and the swelling of the extremities.

The Side-Lying Protocol

We exclusively use clinical side-lying positioning with high-density orthopedic bolsters. This protects the uterine ligaments and ensures optimal blood flow for both you and your baby.

Circulatory Integration

Using gentle, upward strokes, we assist your body in managing the 50% increase in blood volume that occurs during pregnancy, reducing leg heaviness and joint pressure.

MATERNAL GUIDE

Frequently
Asked.

01 — The Timeline

We generally recommend waiting until your second trimester (13+ weeks) to begin. The first trimester is a time of extreme hormonal shift, and we prefer to wait until the pregnancy is established.

If your pregnancy is considered "high-risk" (preeclampsia, history of preterm labor, etc.), we require a simple clearance from your OBGYN before your first session.

A light snack 1 hour before is perfect. Avoid heavy meals, as lying on your side for 60-90 minutes is much more comfortable on a settled stomach.

Massage is a great way to lower cortisol and encourage the body to go into labor naturally. We focus on specific acupressure points that promote relaxation and "opening."

02 — The Session

Tables with holes can actually cause the uterus to "sag," straining the round ligaments. Side-lying is the clinical gold standard because it keeps your spine neutral and ensures optimal blood flow to the placenta.

Baby is likely sitting right on your bladder—we get it! You are welcome to pause the session at any time. Your comfort is the priority.

Yes. Certified prenatal therapists are trained to avoid certain pressure points on the ankles and hands that are traditionally associated with stimulating the uterus.

We keep the Nurture Protocol at a Level 01-02 intensity. Deep tissue is generally avoided during pregnancy to prevent the release of too many toxins and to avoid over-stimulating the circulatory system.

03 — The Results

For the best results, we recommend every 2-3 weeks. As your weight distribution shifts each week, new tension patterns emerge that need addressing.

Significantly. By assisting the lymphatic system, we help move the extra fluid that pools in your ankles and feet, making walking much more comfortable.

Usually 2-6 weeks after birth. If you had a C-section, we wait until your incision is fully healed (typically 6 weeks) and you have clearance from your doctor.

You shouldn't be "sore" in a painful way, but you might feel a healthy level of fatigue. Your body is doing a lot of metabolic work—rest is mandatory!
